Calvary Christian Church has a long history, beginning in 1740 as a Presbyterian reading house and later becoming an independent Christian church in the early 1830s after the preaching influence of Alexander Campbell. The congregation continues to be committed to God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, the Holy Spirit, and the Word of God. Its ministry emphasizes learning, growing, serving, Scripture-centered teaching, the Lord’s Supper, small group Bible studies, and mission support.
