Community Christian Church is a Christian congregation located at 301 West Walnut Street in Nevada, Missouri. Established in January 1965 with 29 charter members, the church began when local believers purchased a former United Brethren church building at the corner of Ash and Walnut Streets.
The congregation emphasizes salvation through Jesus Christ, biblical teaching, prayer, evangelism, and Christian discipleship. Its mission focuses on helping people come to faith and grow in their relationship with Christ.
Sunday School begins at 9:30 AM, followed by Sunday worship at 10:45 AM. Wednesday evening activities include adult Bible study and Bible study for students in grades 6–12, both beginning at 7:00 PM.
On Fridays, the church hosts Free In Him, a lunch and separate men’s and women’s Bible studies from noon to 1:30 PM. These gatherings provide opportunities for studying Scripture and building relationships within the congregation.
Community Christian Church also offers pastoral encouragement and opportunities for prayer. Its website includes recorded sermons, information for visitors, and resources for those seeking spiritual guidance.
Pastor Josh Smith provides biblical teaching and pastoral ministry.
Visitors may enter the church from Walnut Street, use the entrance near the parking area, or enter the sanctuary at Walnut and Ash.
