Milligan College in Tennessee announced it is starting a fly-fishing team.

The school (whose name officially changes to Milligan University on June 1) will begin offering fly-fishing scholarships to incoming students this fall. The team will be coached by Zack Nave, who also leads Milligan’s cycling and triathlon programs.

“We’re excited, not only about the competition part of it, but teaching them about the intricacies of fly fishing, as well as some conservation initiatives we’ll be taking on as a part of the club,” Mark Fox, vice president of athletics and student development, told WJHL. “[We] really think it will be a value-added experience for students at Milligan.”

Previously, Milligan announced it also will be adding drumline in the fall.

Seymour (Ind.) Christian Church‘s “Adopt-a-Youth” program recently had its big reveal where each student learned the identity of their secret benefactor.

“The looks on their faces were priceless,” Sandee Ramsey, a program organizer, told the Tribune. “Some of them were like, ‘Oh man, I’ve seen this lady at church but had no idea.'”

The aim is to show students that people outside of their immediate friends and family care for them, as well as to connect older members of the church with the younger ones.
