Auburn Christian Church in Auburn, Nebraska, is seeking a full-time Associate Pastor to serve alongside the Lead Pastor in a growing rural church with a strong foundation in youth and family ministry. The church has an established youth ministry, a healthy base of young families, and a variety of ministry opportunities throughout the week. In 2023, Auburn Christian Church completed its Family Life Center, which now serves as the primary hub for weekly youth ministry activities.
This role will focus primarily on Youth Ministry while also including another ministry emphasis shaped by the candidate’s gifts, strengths, and experience. Potential secondary areas of focus may include worship, college ministry, children’s ministry, or other church needs. The position is intended to be flexible and tailored to the right candidate.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Leading and investing in the church’s youth ministry
- Serving alongside the Lead Pastor in the overall ministry of the church
- Developing an additional ministry focus based on gifting and church needs
- Assisting with day-to-day pastoral and ministry responsibilities
- Preaching on occasion as needed
Expectations and qualifications include:
- A heart for pastoral ministry in a local church setting
- A willingness to lead primarily in youth ministry while serving in other ministry areas
- The ability to work collaboratively with the Lead Pastor and church staff
- A ministry degree is preferred
- Ministry experience is a plus
Auburn Christian Church is looking for a candidate who will help strengthen its ministry to students and families while contributing to the broader mission of the church.
