OFF SCRIPT

Even though Jesus was not the father of his disciples, as their rabbi he led the ritual and retold the old, old story. Then Jesus went off script in Mark 14:22-24.

REMEMBER THE DAYS

Whatever memories the days of our walk with the Lord have provided, we should always remember that they have come only because of the three days we remember especially during Communion.

Empty

On the third day after he suffered and died, Jesus vacated that place of death and he will never return. We continue our worship with a picture of the promise God has in store for every believer.

Wild Loving

Communion may not qualify as a “home-cooked meal,” but it is a meal that welcomes us home to our Father’s table and foreshadows what awaits when we do go home to our Father.

Our Cornerstone

Before we come to the Lord’s Table, let’s each examine our heart and our life. Now is the time to repent of any sin and ask God’s forgiveness for time and materials we’ve wasted.

Our Opening Day

It may renew and encourage us when we take Communion to think back to the day of our baptism into Christ, when we came forth from our own tomb and our own record of sins was wiped clean.
