The merger of Central Christian College of the Bible, Moberly, Mo., and St. Louis Christian College, Florissant, Mo., was officially completed Dec. 5 with acceptance of the merger agreement by the Missouri Secretary of State.

After a long battle with cancer, Jack Cottrell, 84, passed from earth to heaven September 16, 2022. Dr. Cottrell was a respected professor of theology at Cincinnati Christian University for 48 years, from September 1967 to December 2015. He wrote more than 40 popular theological books and countless magazine articles. Several days after Dr. Cottrell’s passing, Tom Claibourne wrote the following tribute, which appeared on our website. The Great Lakes Christian College women’s soccer team polished off its regular season with 3-0 win over Regent University (Virginia Beach, Va.) and is ranked second in the NCCAA DII Coach’s Poll. The squad enters the postseason as defending national champions—a great accomplishment, especially when considering that three years ago the program didn’t exist.

A lot of whiskers hit the floor at the finale of “The Beard Off” fundraising event to raise scholarship monies for Great Lakes Christian College. Every competitor who was able to attend the event Saturday went under the razor. In total, The Beard Off raised $22,190, said event organizer Caleb Weller on Monday morning.
Emmanuel Christian Seminary at Milligan has created a pathway for students to gain paid ministry experience by partnering with churches in the Johnson City, Tenn., area.
