Nobody grows up dreaming of waking up, going to work, heading home, watching Netflix, scrolling through social media, and then doing it all over again the next day until their last breath. We all want to be used to change the world. We don’t want to spend our lives being time-wasters, or space-takers, or binge-watchers, or game-players, or even book-readers.

Device Helps Church Reach Prisoners (Plus News Briefs)
First Capital Christian Church, Corydon, Ind., is providing its Church Anywhere services to Branchville Correctional Facility via GTL tablets, a device specifically made for those who are incarcerated. The device allows prisoners to maintain contact with family, receive educational training, and participate in religious services. “Our ministry is based on building relationships,” Church Anywhere lead pastor Tyler Sansom told WBIW.com. “We use the technology to begin and foster those relationships with the people inside the walls. Traders Point, Southeast Starting New Campuses This Year
Megachurches in Indiana and Kentucky are starting new campuses this year. The new Midtown Campus of Traders Point Christian Church launched in a temporary space in Indianapolis this past Sunday. TPCC has purchased a former grocery store to house the Midtown Campus, with services likely to begin there in 2021. The church spent $7.6 million to purchase a 57,000-square-foot former Marsh Supermarket that sits on a 6.6-acre parcel, according to the Indianapolis Star. Southeast Christian Launching Campus for Senior Adults (Plus News Briefs)

The new Chapel in the Woods Campus will be near the main Blankenbaker Campus of the megachurch, one of the largest in the Restoration Movement. Chapel in the Woods will be geared for reaching senior adults. “We’ve built a beautiful facility across the street from our Blankenbaker Campus, and everything from the architecture to the parking lot makes this an incredible facility for our senior adults to connect and worship through hymns and classic worship,” said senior pastor Kyle Idleman.

Jarvis to Direct Ministry Resource Center at Emmanuel (Plus News Briefs)

The seminary last year received a $1 million grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. to start a Ministry Resource Center to help place and mentor Emmanuel’s ministry students in local churches. Jarvis is an ordained Christian church minister with years of nonprofit experience. Stone Hands Off SECC Leadership to Idleman (Plus News Briefs)

Stone Announces Retirement from Southeast
(Updated Sept. 24) Dave Stone, senior pastor of Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Ky., has announced he will retire sometime in the next six to nine months. Teaching pastor Kyle Idleman will replace Stone in the lead role at the church. “This is a process that has been in the works for a number of years,” Stone said in a story published on the Southeast Christian Church website. “My wife, Beth, and I decided on this timing about five years ago.
