Manhattan Christian College is about to close on the purchase of a $4 million retail center that will provide additional student housing and a new revenue stream. It also is a chance to buy back a parcel of land the school sold 36 years ago.
Across the country, more and more states are legalizing marijuana. These changing laws, and the public’s changing views of the drug, have led many Christian colleges and universities to closely evaluate their policies and regulations regarding the use of cannabis.

First Capital Christian Church, Corydon, Ind., is providing its Church Anywhere services to Branchville Correctional Facility via GTL tablets, a device specifically made for those who are incarcerated. Christian Church survived a flood in 1937, a near-disastrous move to a new building in 1998, and transitions from hand-pumping to water-pumping to an electrical pump over the past 100-plus years.
