A lot of whiskers hit the floor at the finale of “The Beard Off” fundraising event to raise scholarship monies for Great Lakes Christian College. Every competitor who was able to attend the event Saturday went under the razor. In total, The Beard Off raised $22,190, said event organizer Caleb Weller on Monday morning.

More than a dozen men are effectively auctioning away their whiskers to raise scholarship monies for Great Lakes Christian College. "Beard Off" participants include president Frank Weller, GLCC trustee Duke Gray; VP Greg Stauffer; Richard Westerlund, athletic director and men’s basketball coach; and alum/preacher CJ Powell, among others. Contribute funds for participants to either "Shave" or "Keep" their beards.
