Children’s Minister

Woodland Heights Christian Church in Crawfordsville, Indiana, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Children’s Minister to guide the next generation in faith. This full-time ministry position offers an opportunity to build upon an established foundation while casting fresh vision for a dynamic, Spirit-led discipleship culture in which children, families, and volunteers can flourish.

The Children’s Minister will serve alongside a united leadership team and supportive eldership. The church is looking for a visionary leader who loves children and families, is committed to teaching God’s Word, and can inspire and equip volunteers for meaningful ministry.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Leading and strengthening the church’s ministry to children and their families.
• Developing engaging, biblically grounded programs that help children grow in their relationship with Jesus.
• Casting vision for the future of children’s ministry and guiding the ministry into its next season of growth.
• Recruiting, training, encouraging, and empowering volunteer ministry teams.
• Collaborating with church staff, elders, parents, and volunteers to support children’s spiritual formation.
• Helping create a ministry culture that strengthens families in their walk with Christ.

Expectations and qualifications include:

• A committed Christian faith and alignment with the church’s beliefs, values, and Restoration Movement heritage.
• Experience in children’s ministry and leadership, with a clear heart for discipleship.
• Strong communication, organization, and team-building abilities.
• The ability to inspire others, develop volunteers, and provide clear ministry leadership.
• A biblically conservative approach to ministry and teaching.

This salaried position includes retirement benefits, paid vacation and sick leave, ongoing training, professional development opportunities, and a dedicated budget for ministry conferences. The schedule also provides two designated, predictable days off each week.
