President Joe Biden lauded Fred Gray as “one of the most important civil rights lawyers in our history” Thursday as he awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Gray, 91, is a longtime minister and elder with the noninstrumental Churches of Christ.

Basketball HOF Inductee Del Harris, a Milligan Grad, ‘Totally Indebted to God’
Del Harris, who will be enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on Sept. 10, decided to attend Milligan College (instead of Butler University) at the last minute. He cites Dr. Robert Fife and Dr. Owen Crouch as major influences. Harris later spent more than three decades in the NBA.

Final Approval of SLCC/CCCB Merger Expected Soon
Officials from St. Louis Christian College and Central Christian College of the Bible anticipate the two schools will officially merge in the coming days. When completed, SLCC’s campus will be sold, some residential students and 7 SLCC employees will relocate to CCCB’s campus in Moberly, Mo., and property will be leased in the St. Louis area where classes will continue to be offered.
As It Transitions, LCU to Sell Student Apartments, Lease Portion of Campus
Four months after announcing an overhaul of its educational model, Lincoln Christian University now has a contract to sell its student apartments to a private developer and has entered into a 10-year lease agreement with a local church that will use the university’s chapel and athletic facilities.
