The Power of an Emphatic Yes

In 1996, Joe Putting and his elders at Tomoka Christian Church (Ormond Beach, Fla.) asked a simple question: "What would saying an emphatic yes to the Great Commission look like?" They came out of that season of prayer and reflection with an almost obsessive desire to profoundly impact all the nations of the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. . . .

A Bright Future Across the Pond: Restoration Churches in the U.K.

By Martin Robinson and Mont Mitchell  Some have claimed that Christian Churches and Churches of Christ are the first group of churches to grow up in America—as if they’re an entirely American creation. Well, there’s more to the story.   Shared Understanding  Churches with a broadly “Restorationist” ideal had arisen in various parts of Britain in the late 18th century. She then returned to the United States and worked as a forensic psychologist on violent crimes. Doing that work with the state, she saw firsthand how hard life can be for people with traumatic backgrounds.   As an adoptive parent of six children, she is invested in improving the lives of children in her South Carolina community. Disciple-Making Movements and the Restoration Movement

Disciple-Making Movements and the Restoration Movement

By Bobby Harrington  I believe Christian Churches and the Restoration Movement are the best hope for disciple-making movements in North America.    A disciple-making movement (DMM) is characterized by a rapid and exponential increase in disciples making disciples.
