Every week the number of subscribers to Christian Standard’s online newsletter grows. And every week someone new tells us how much they appreciate the excellent newsletter.
We’re pleased, of course. But we believe thousands more should be receiving this e newsletter every week.
Here’s why.
“¢ Our e-newsletter keeps you up-to-date by sharing news from Restoration Movement churches. And by news, we really mean news. Our goal is to tell you something new happening in our churches each week.
“¢ Our e-newsletter contains a new illustration for preaching or teaching each week. These are always fresh; sometimes they, too, relate to news events from the week you”re receiving them.
“¢ Our e-newsletter gives you a preview of articles in the coming week”s print magazine. Convenient links take you straight to the full text of the articles, for those who enjoy reading online.
It”s easy to receive the Christian Standard online newsletter. Just log on to our Web site, www.christianstandard.com. At the bottom left of our home page, you”ll see a place to subscribe to our weekly e-newsletter. Just fill-in two blanks, and you”ll begin receiving the free newsletter each week.
There are two more things you can do.
“¢ First, make sure others at your church have signed up for the newsletter. Every minister, every elder, every ministry team leader, every teacher””every leader!””should be receiving the Christian Standard online newsletter. There”s nothing else like it in Christian churches and churches of Christ.
“¢ Second, please take us seriously when we invite you to submit items for “It”s Happening,” the rundown of this week”s news items. We”re keeping our ears to the ground so we can discover and report what”s happening at churches like yours. But please don”t wait for us to ask you! If you”re dedicating a building, receiving a special offering, sending a missionary, or doing anything special, please send us a paragraph to describe it. Address it to [email protected], and we”ll distribute your news this week.
Meanwhile, we hope you”ve noticed the ongoing improvements at our Web site. There”s a lively interchange among those submitting Letters to the Editor. And the “News in Brief” items printed in the center of our magazine are appearing ahead of time on the Web. In fact, most weeks we”re posting your letters and “News in Brief” submissions the day we receive them. This means there”s always something new for you to discover a twww.christianstandard.com.
We hope you”ll get in the habit of visiting us there often.
